Will we need GPS assistance at Walters arena, or will the overhead map be sufficient?
We've never been there, and have been told its a BIG site, and its easy to get lost........

Worrying un-nessesarily?

The aerial photo is very detailed and very accurate. How useful it is depends on your ability to read it !!

Some competitors have chosen in the past to employ a little technical assistance

There's nothing in the rules to say you can't

Yes you can get lost, I proved that last year marshalling!! although the map is quite good.

i found google maps now has a very detailed version of the map (zoomed in detail of course) all you need to do is work between the 2 or use gps

The paper site map we have used for the last three years has already been replaced by the shiny new (and very detailed) Google maps version.

Anyone using MemoryMap will have to cross-reference between the two but it's not that difficult.
