Number boards

Postby Sir Edmund on Thu Feb 07, 2008 9:07 am

Neil,

How are competitors expected to fix on the number boards that will be supplied to us.

I'm guessing that these are a rigid board of the sort we use for safaris. If so to minimise hassle one the day I would like to sort out a mounting method before the event.

Thanks,

Cliff

The number boards are self adhesive vinyl and measure 30x20cm. In addition you are required to display an 'AWDC Championship Competitor' sticker above or below it. These measure 30x9cm.

So in total you need to make an area of 30x29cm available on either side of the car.

HTH

Stickers on doors don't tend to last too long on a vehicle that also does CCV trials. In fact come to think of it doors don't alway last a full season!

I think I'll make up a couple of flat boards of 30cm x 30cm and fix these to the roll cage back stays.

Thanks,

Cliff

Good idea!

If you are one of those drivers who gets through doors or times a respray for just after the first event  , bear in mind that a set of replacement numbers boards will cost £5 this year (and must be ordered at least two weeks before an event) and a set of replacement 'Championship Competitor' stickers will cost £3
